FAQs
What is the difference between an acoustic piano and a digital piano?
The simple answer is, an acoustic piano is an instrument that does not need to be plugged into the power or run off batteries. It is a stringed instrument that has a piano action and keys that are used to create the sound.
Do your pianos have an iron or wooden frame and are they under or over damper actions?
All of our pianos have a full iron frame and all of our pianos have under damper actions.
Should I purchase a new or second hand piano?
That is a tricky question to answer. Many piano stores will recommend that you only buy a new piano because that is what they mainly sell. From our experience, if you intend to purchase new, we recommend you stick with the quality brands like Alex Steinbach, Yamaha, Samick, Kawai, Conover Cable, Wertheim.
Regarding used pianos, there are a number of really good quality used pianos out there. You just have to know what you are looking for. That is why we recommend you purchase from a reputable piano dealer like abc Pianos. It is within our interest that we invest in quality used pianos which means we can pass them onto our customers fully checked, regulated, detailed and tuned and in most cases with warranties up to 10 years.
